Anupriya Das Singh
Trauma-focused Psychotherapist
Sometimes what we carry doesn’t feel like a problem.
It just feels like how life has always been.
Patterns, emotions, or reactions that stay, even when we try to understand or manage them.
You may find this work helpful if…
-
You’ve been holding things together for a long time, but something still feels unresolved
-
You try to understand your reactions, but they don’t fully make sense
-
You’ve done therapy before, but feel there are deeper layers left
-
Certain emotions, triggers, or patterns keep repeating despite effort
My work focuses on gently exploring and processing these deeper layers, especially when they haven’t shifted despite effort.
I’m Anupriya Das Singh, a psychotherapist working with adults navigating emotional pain and trauma.
Over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked closely with individuals trying to make sense of experiences that don’t always have clear words - patterns, emotions, or reactions that have stayed for a long time.
My work is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing from approaches such as EMDR, parts work, and body-based awareness. The process is not rushed. It unfolds gradually, in a way that feels manageable and safe.
I work with adults, including those who have experienced childhood trauma or sexual abuse, as well as those struggling with long-standing emotional or relationship patterns.
Often, people come after trying to cope on their own, or after other forms of support haven’t fully helped.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a Case Supervisor for Psychotherapeutic Interventions at Arpan, where I support and guide therapists in their work with trauma.
At the centre of my work is a simple intention, to create a space where what has remained unprocessed can slowly begin to take shape, and where deeper, lasting shifts can emerge over time.
Outside of work, I spend time painting, reading, and being with my family. These spaces help me stay connected to the same sense of presence and reflection that I bring into my work.
My Approach
My work focuses on helping you process what has remained unprocessed, rather than only managing symptoms.
At times, we may work with difficult memories in a way that allows their emotional intensity to gradually reduce, so they don’t continue to feel as overwhelming.
I draw from approaches such as EMDR, parts work, and cognitive therapy, depending on what feels relevant and supportive for you. Some of this work may involve understanding thought patterns, while at other times we may explore different emotional parts of your experience with care and curiosity.
For those who connect with nonverbal expression, art can become another way of accessing and processing what may be difficult to put into words.
The work is also connected to the body. At times, we may gently notice physical sensations, helping the body feel safer and less held by past experiences.
Together, the process is not only about talking, but about slowly allowing changes to emerge gradually in how you feel, respond, and experience yourself
